A 2008 New York International Fringe Festival hit, the tuner received both the Fringe Outstanding Musical Award and The Talkin' Broadway Citation for best musical. "Perez" features a book by Randy Blair and Timothy Michael Drucker (Fat Camp) with lyrics by Blair and a score by Zachary Redler.

Perez Hilton's gossip blog has skewered just about every celebrity, no matter how famous. This musical is a whimsical fantasy set in an alternate universe where Britney Spears has just died and everyone is gathering for a Red Carpet Wake in her honor. On this fateful day, Perez battles a mob of angry celebrities and Al Queda, but his main concern is finding a date to the wake.
