Open Fist Theatre Presents MAD FOREST Beginning 3/14

The Open Fist Theatre Company will present MAD FOREST, written by Caryl Churchill and directed by Marya Mazor. MAD FOREST will preview on Thursday, March 14 & Friday, March 15 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, March 16 at 8pm and runs through Saturday, May 4 at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

December, 1989. Communist Romania is on the brink. The secret police guard the streets and thousands of spies listen to the citizens in their homes. The people are starved by a leader bent on extreme rationing to pay off the country's debts. Into this world come two lovers desperate to unite their different families. But a wedding to an American, a revolution, and its aftermath change personal as well as political relationships. Caryl Churchill guides us through winding paths of surrealism and docudrama, humor and death, revolution and conspiracy in this Mad Forest.
