OUR SO-CALLED LOVED ONES to Premiere Next Month at Dorie Theatre
By: Tyler Peterson
OUR SO-CALLED LOVED ONES, a new dark, twisted, comedic play about murder, sibling rivalry, torture, and musical theatre, is set to world premiere on Hollywood's famed theatre row for a special limited engagement.
The show will run for three performances only from Friday, December 05 - Sunday, December 07, 2014 at 8:00 pm in the Dorie Theatre at The Complex, located at 6476 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90038. For tickets, information, and industry comps, visit osclo.mogulprods.com. Multi-hyphenates Phillip Russell Newman and Matt Aaron Krinsky teamed to bring this world premiere to the stage with Newman serving as playwright/producer/star and Krinsky directing/producing under his Mogul Productions banner. Along with Newman, the show also stars Mark Reichard and Mandy Morris, all three making their Los Angeles stage debuts. With numerous acting credits to his name, OUR SO-CALLED LOVED ONES is Newman's first produced work as a playwright. "Creating a story out of nothing then watching it come to life slowly in front of your eyes is pretty indescribable," Newman said. "It's scary, of course, to take something as close to your heart as this show is to mine and put it out there for everyone to judge, but it's comforting to know that I'm doing it surrounded by a group of passionate, dedicated, and talented artists."
