Nominations for the 28th Annual LA STAGE Alliance Ovation Awards

Nominations for the 28th Annual LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards will be announced digitally on Thursday, November 2 at 1pm PDT on @ This Stage Magazine (ThisStage.LA).
Said Steven Leigh Morris, LA Stage Alliance Executive Director, "For a variety of reasons, it has been a challenging season for local theatres and the artists they employ, but those challenges don't appear to have affected the quality of the work or the vast array of productions presented. Along with the dedicated work of the Ovation voters and the Ovation Rules Committee, I am proud to celebrate the determination and the beautiful work created by our extraordinary community of artists."
The Ovation Awards are the only peer-judged theatre awards in Los Angeles. Voters are LA theatre professionals chosen each year by the Ovations Rules Committee, through a rigorous application process.
During the 2016-17 voting season, 263 productions were registered for awards consideration by 109 producing organizations, and 3,915 individual artists were evaluated. Of the 263 productions registered, 92 were designated as 'Ovation Recommended.' Voters cast a total of 7,068 ballots.
The date and location of the 28th Annual Ovation Awards ceremony will be announced shortly. For more information about the Ovation Awards program, visit OvationAwards.com.
