Natalie Toro Brings A Little Christmas to The Purple Room with New CD Release Tonight

By:

Broadway veteran Natalie Toro brings her infectious energy and powerhouse vocals to The Purple Room for a special appearance and CD release party tonight, December 13, 2013 at 7 pm. Toro's performance is free to the public but reservations are recommended. The Purple Room is located at 1900 East Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.

Toro will celebrate the release of her new CD Just in Time For Christmas, which features classicholiday favorites, new songs, and duets with such artists as Ryan Kelly and two-time Grammy Award-winner Jon Secada. Dubbed "one of the greatest contemporary artists of our time" by BroadwayWorld, Toro blends her various backgrounds with a variety of musical styles, putting her own twist on such classics as "Baby, It's Cold Outside" (duet with Ryan Kelly), "The Christmas Song," "Ave Maria / O Holy Night," and "I'll Be Home for Christmas."

Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Natalie made her stage debut at the age of five at the legendary Apollo Theatre during their "Amateur Night." After studying at The Manhattan School of Music she received her BFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory of Music.

"Being a Broadway artist, I have always had such a passion for the stage but I've always wanted to flex my vocal styles in order to establish myself as a studio recording artist as well," says Toro."These beautiful songs and wonderful arrangements allow me to showcase another side of my voice, and I'm thrilled to sing them for the audience at The Purple Room."

To make a reservation and for more information about upcoming performances and shows, call 760-322-4422 or visit purpleroompalmsprings.com.
