Managing Director John Jack Rodgers announced today that The Stella Adler Academy has formed a new theatre within the Stella Adler Academy. The Stella Lab Theater will make her debut with the critically acclaimed production Waiting For Godot. The production will be masterfully directed by Milton Justice. The new venue and the play that received multiple awards throughout the years, returns to Hollywood opening on September 20th, 2013.

Waiting for Godot is an absurdist play by Samuel Beckett, in which two characters, Vladimir and Estragon, wait endlessly and in vain for the arrival of someone name Godot, whom they only know by reputation. To occupy their time, they philosophise, sleep, argue, sing, exercise and even consider suicide. The result is a comical wordplay of poetry, dreamscapes and nonsense, which has been interpreted as a somber summation of mankind's inexhaustible search for meaning. The play's original premiere was in January 1953. Waiting for Godot remains Samuel Beckett's most magical and beautiful allegory.

The Lab Theater will combine current and former students of the Academy. The current production features Chris Petrovski (films in the Torontoand Shanghai Film Festivals, as well as co-starring in Coldwater, winner of Grand Jury prize as Las Vegas Film Festival), Blake Lewis (Los Angeles revival of Beirut and critic's choice Machu Picchu, Texas), Alec Whaite (star of La Distancia Mas Larga, the Venezuelan entry in the Montreal Film Festival) and Akimi Jai (The Magic School Bus, Pillars of Freedom).

WAITING FOR GODOT is presented by the Stella Adler Lab Theatre, and is produced by Rochelle Rossman. The Lab Theater is headed by Managing Director John Jack Rodgers.

WAITING FOR GODOT plays at the Stella Adler-Los Angeles Theatre, 6773 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood from September 14th - October 13th, with the official press opening on Friday, September 20th.
