Maria Bermudez & Friends Set to Make Appearance at Barnsdall’s Gallery Theatre, 10/30

See "La Cha Cha" in a rare L.A. appearance, October 30, 2011 only at Barnsdall's Gallery Theatre with Special Guest Artists Manuel de la Cruz, Adam del Monte, Kai Narezo, Jose Cortes, Kina Mendez, Luis de la Tota, Reggie Hamilton and Joey Heredia.

Maria Bermudez & Friends - Internationally acclaimed performer Maria Bermudez, also known as "La Cha Cha," was born in Los Angeles, but has resided for many years in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain's "City of Flamenco"), absorbing, living, and performing flamenco. She has introduced its pure and passionate Gypsy style to audiences around the world. On October 30, Bermudez makes a rare Los Angeles appearance at the Gallery Theatre in Barnsdall Art Park, accompanied by one of her Spanish company members, "palmero" (hand-clapper) Luis de la Tota, and by some of the very best U.S.-based flamenco artists including dancer Manual de la Cruz; singers Kina Mendez and José Cortes; guitarists Adam del Monte, Kai Nazero and famed bassist Reggie Hamilton; and celebrated percussionist Joey Heredia.
