La Mirada Welcomes TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & MC COY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT rapturously present the third production of their 2010-2011 season of shows - the heavenly, 'TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3', starring everyone's favorite Sister - Maripat Donovan, written by Maripat Donovan with Marc Silvia and directed by Marc Silvia. 'TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3' will open on Friday, January 28, 2011 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 29) and run through Sunday, February 13 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3 is the latest class to be unveiled in this sinfully funny series. After teaching countless students all about the saints, venial sins, guilt, limbo and more, Sister is now offering up her hilarious lessons on the Sacraments of Marriage and Last Rites, including her own wacky version of The Newlywed Game. Classroom participation is a must, so bring along your sweetie and your sense of humor for some quality time with Sister, the feistiest new couples counselor in town. As always, each performance is unique and will appeal to people of all ages and faiths!

ABOUT Maripat Donovan

Maripat Donovan (Playwright/Actress) originated the role of Sister in Late Nite Catechism and has toured internationally, receiving rave reviews for her work in Chicago, Boston, Rhode Island, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, London and Dublin. She has worked in Chicago theatre for more than 20 years, winning Joseph Jefferson citations for her work in Portrait of a Shiksa and The Good Times are Killing Me. For her work in Late Nite Catechism, she was nominated for the coveted Outer Critics Circle Award in New York for Outstanding Solo Performance, and she won the Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Solo Performance in Los Angeles. Through her Production Company, Donovan Entertainment, she continues to delight audiences across the country with her plays Late Nite Catechism, Late Nite Catechism 2, Sister's Christmas Catechism, and Sister Rita Mary's Bingo Extravaganza: An Extravaganza with Song, a little Bingo and a big sheet cake.

ABOUT THE SCHEDULE AND PRICING

'TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATHECHISM 3' will begin performances on Friday, January 28, 2011 (with a press opening on Saturday, January 29) and runs for three weeks through Sunday, February 13.

Performances will be 7:30pm on Tuesdays through Thursdays; 8pm on Fridays; 2pm and 8pm on Saturdays; and 2pm and 7pm on Sundays.

There will be no matinee performance on Saturday, January 29 and no evening performance on Sunday, January 30. There will be a talk-back session following the performance on Tuesday, February 1.
