WHAT:
The Three Sisters - Tessa Thompson (For Colored Girls), Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein, Tony-nominated for Wonderful Town), Sarah Zimmerman (Big Love), Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Reid Scott (The Big C) star in Anton Chekhov's bittersweet, serio-comic family drama. One of the greatest ensemble pieces of all time, Chekhov's play is a wistful romance of missed chances and wasted opportunities. The Prozorov sisters, carrying the torch for enlightened society in a provincial backwater town, entertain a visiting army garrison, all the while losing their hearts to the dashing soldiers, their quixotic ideals, and a world of what-might- have-been. All performances will be recorded to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.
