LA Stage Alliance Announces Search For New Leadership

LA Stage Alliance (LASA) has announced the departure of Interim Executive Director Marco Gomez. Gomez was both a generous donor and an excellent manager during an important transitional period in the organization's life. Gomez, a real estate developer and longtime theatre producer, also served as co-producer of this year's outstanding Ovation Awards event. His contributions to LASA have been invaluable.

Following a period of strategic development and thoughtful reassessment of LASA's performance over the past decade, the Board of Directors will open a search for new leadership this summer. Theatres throughout the LA region depend on LASA's Ovation Awards program and other important initiatives such as a new promotional website supported by the Ahmanson Foundation and a youth ticketing program based on Seattle's TeenTix. Programs and services will continue during this transitional period.

The Board expresses profound gratitude for the tremendous support it continues to receive from the performing arts community. There will be more news soon as the next steps to secure greater sustainability for LASA's important work are announced this spring.
