LA Children's Chorus Names New Chair

Attorney Jennifer C. Terry has been named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Los AngeLes Children's Chorus (LACC), one of the world's foremost children's choirs. The La Canada resident has served on LACC's Board of Directors since 2009 and is parent of two LACC choristers. A partner in the Labor & Employment group at the law firm Arent Fox LLP in Los Angeles, Terry succeeds JoAnne Crawford-Dunér.

JENNIFER TERRY's civil litigation practice focuses on management side employment defense, particularly in California involving disability, race, age, and gender discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment and wrongful termination. She is also the commercial advisor to the food division of a major confectionary manufacturer, and has significant experience drafting commercial contracts. Terry previously served as a federal district court law clerk to the Honorable J. Thomas Greene in the US District Court for the District of Utah and is fluent in Spanish.

Founded in 1986 and led by Artistic Director Anne Tomlinson since 1996, LACC's roster includes more than 375 children ages 6 to 18 from more than 50 communities across Los Angeles in six choirs and First Experiences in Singing program. Open auditions for LACC take place each June. First Experiences in Singing is a non-auditioned program for 6-7 year olds that serves as an enriching and fun music introduction for children.
