Kerry O'Malley, Deedee Magno Hall, and Tony Award Nominee Valarie Pettiford Join 'A Little New Music' A Little New Music will spotlight a diverse array of artists performing new and unheard musical theatre songs in a classic cabaret setting at Hollywood's historic Catalina Jazz Club on Tuesday, March 6 at 8:30pm. Audiences of A Little New Music's concert series discover firsthand pieces of musical theatre that could become Broadway hits.

The event will be co-hosted by Broadway's J. Elaine Marcos, (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Annie) and "MADTv's" Michelle Ortiz, alongside guest music director, Jan Roper (Hollywood Bowl, Musical Theatre Guild) with musical accompaniment by the A Little New Music band.

The writing teams showcasing their music include: Fleitman & Bassett (The Average Sized Mermaid); Drew Fornarola (Claudio Quest); Brett Ryback (Passing Through); Selda Sahin & Derek Gregor (Grind the Movie); Spencer Robelen ("MuseMatch" at 54 Below); Matthew McCollum (The Ballad of Brightwater); Waldkirch & Lowder (Save Me A Spot); Rona Siddiqui (NYMF's Women of Note); Maguire & Simon (Express); Sam Johnides & Tony Gonzales (Annabella); Roper & Weiner (City of Light); plus a new song making its west coast premiere from Kerrigan-Lowdermilk (The Mad Ones).

Broadway's Kerry O'Malley (B'way: White Christmas, Into the Woods, "The Last Tycoon") and Deedee Magno Hall (B'way: Miss Saigon, If/Then) will join Tony Award nominee Valarie Pettiford (Fosse, "The Blacklist," "Fly") with a cast including: Cliffton Hall (B'way: Miss Saigon, Les Miserables) Tom Detrinis (30-Minute Musicals co-creator, upcoming Die Mommie, Die at CTG); Jessica Reiner-Harris (UCB's "Quick & Funny Musicals"); Anthea Neri (East West Players' Next to Normal); Benai Boyd (Celebration Theatre's The View Upstairs); Domonique Paton (Hairspray & Grinch national tours); Tiana Okoye ("Hairspray Live!"); Clayton Farris ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scream Queens"); Kate Ponzio (Sierra Madre Playhouse's Marvelous Wonderettes); Keir Kirkegaard (UMPO Jurassic Park at Rockwell); Chelsea Rae Bernier (Barbie Live!); Alex Nee (national tour: Once); Everjohn Feliciano (After Hours Theatre Company's Dogfight); plus a special guest performance from singer/songwriter Chris Pierce and his band who will share a new song from his and co-writer Mark Malone's show, Reverend Tall Tree's Blues Opera.

A LITTLE NEW MUSIC (ALNM) is the best two hours of new and unheard musical theater material in Los Angeles. Whether a premiere from an established writer, or an undiscovered tune from a promising up-and-comer, our mission is to showcase these talents with a program that keeps your finger on the pulse of the musical theater scene. Since 2013, A Little New Music has introduced an impressive array of over 200 songs by over 125 writing teams. Previous writing teams include Academy and Tony Award winners Pasek & Paul (The Greatest Showman, La La Land, Dear Evan Hansen) and Sankoff & Hein (Come From Away) to name a few. Tickets are $18 (main), $15 (bar/high top) in advance, $25 at the door. Dinner or two-drink minimum purchase is required in addition to ticket price. There is a $0.45 music royalty fee per patron.
