Join the Cast of WAITING FOR GRACE for Complimentary Wine Every Thursday

By:

Every Thursday is 'Ladies' Night Out' at Waiting for Grace, the new comedy by Sharon Sharth now running in a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre through Dec. 11.

Waiting for Grace is a fast-paced comedy about a highly independent career woman who decides to navigate the path to marriage late in life - only to question whether that is something she really wants or needs. Loosely autobiographical, Sharth's award-winning play features a character based on her real-life husband: internationally renowned entrepreneur/creative consultant/author Mark A. Bryan. Bryan, co-creator with Julia Cameron of the popular creativity seminars 'The Artist's Way' and 'The Artist's Way at Work,' is an acknowledged expert at helping highly creative individuals and teams, including artists, senior executives, entrepreneurs and scientists, overcome obstacles to personal, creative and professional success. He has also written several family-related books, including "The Prodigal Father", "Reuniting Fathers and Their Children" and "Codes of Love: How to Rethink Your Family and Re-Make Your Life." Oprah Winfrey chose Mark's work with families as one of her greatest lessons in 25 years for television.

Audiences are invited to join Bryan and the cast following every Thursday evening performance of Waiting for Grace for a complimentary glass of wine.

Directed by Lee Costello (Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA), the world premiere production stars Pamela Dunlap (Pauline Francis on Madmen; HBO's Doll and Em; HBO's Girls; premiere of A.R. Gurneys Love and Money at New York's Signature Theatre); Lily Knight (LADCC and Stage Raw Award nominations for her role in Echo Theater Company's A Small Fire; Edna in Odyssey Theatre's LADDC Award-winning A Delicate Balance; Antaeus productions of The Crucible, Peace in Our Time and The Autumn Garden) and [playwright] Sharon Sharth (current Ovation Award nominee for See Rocky City at the Rubicon). The three were members together at New York's prestigious Circle Repertory Theatre Company. The male members of the ensemble include Todd Babcock (Gods and Monsters), Jeff LeBeau (member, Open Fist and Skylight Theatre companies) and Bob Telford (upcoming feature film The Crash; The Big Snake at 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival).

Although this production of Waiting for Grace marks the world premiere, the script is the recipient of the Best New American Play Award from the Firehouse Theatre Project; the Collaboration Award from the New York Coalition of Professional Women in the Arts and Media; an Honorable Mention from the NYC New Works of Merit Playwriting Contest; and it was a semi-finalist at the Edward Albee Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, AK.

Performances of Waiting for Grace continue on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., through Dec. 11 (dark Thursday, Nov. 24). Tickets are $35. The Odyssey Theatre is located at 2055 S. Sepulveda Blvd., West Los Angeles, 90025. For reservations and information, call (323) 960-7788 or go to www.plays411.com/waiting.
