Jan Saiget Named Pasadena Playhouse's New Director of Institutional Advancement

By:

The Pasadena Playhouse has announced the appointment of Jan Saiget as the Director of Institutional Advancement for the organization.

Saiget is a seasoned fundraiser whose career contributions have furthered the missions of non-profit organizations representing the arts, civic engagement, architectural history and preservation, and most recently, academic medical research and healthcare.

"I am pleased to return to the Pasadena community, where early in my career I served as the Pacific Asia Museum's Director of Development," says Saiget. "It is also rewarding to again be immersed in the inspirational and creative energy of the arts, and that of The Pasadena Playhouse in particular."

Saiget continues, "With the visionary leadership of Sheldon Epps and Elizabeth Doran, combined with a tremendously engaged, dedicated and energetic Board of Directors and staff, this is a truly exciting time in the Playhouse's history. Thanks to a wonderfully generous community of performing arts enthusiasts and supporters, the Playhouse is able to present a dynamic and inclusive offering of artistically innovative productions and activities. Together, we are poised for exciting new growth leading up to the Playhouse's 2017 Centennial anniversary and well beyond."

Artistic Director Sheldon Epps adds "Jan brings to The Playhouse a breadth of experience and impressive history that will be a great boon to our fundraising efforts. In addition, I have noted that her new found passion for our art form and the work of this theatre has already energized and excited her in a way that is very promising. I have no doubt that her efforts and our collaboration with her will help us bring a new level of funding to The Playhouse which our current healthy and vibrant state so richly deserves."

Executive Director Elizabeth Doran says, "Jan has led development teams in the arts, in a thinktank for social engagement, and in the health services field. This background is an excellent match for the kind of innovative work the Playhouse plans for its near and long reaching future. Her proven professional expertise in raising major gifts is well complemented by her many personal strengths that are critical to success in raising charitable gifts for a great cause. With a senior management team that also includes our talented General Manager, Joe Witt; nationally recognized new Associate Artistic Director, Seema Sueko; brilliant new Finance Director, Meredith Min; and savvy Director of Marketing and Communications, Patty Onagan, the Playhouse is poised to exceed goals that tie to our upcoming Centennial celebration in 2017."
