Sixty-eight years have passed since the end of World War II and the incarceration of approximately 112,000 Japanese nationals and Japanese Americans in concentration camps. For one performance only, actual artists who taught and learned Japanese traditional arts during this period will be presented in performance and discussion. Classical Japanese dance (odori), classical music (nagauta) and Buddhist folk dance (bon odori) will be represented.

Monday, 04.26.10 9am-7pm

27th Annual Ambassadors Cup U.S.-Japan Golf Tournament benefiting the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center is part of a year long celebration of the JACCC's 30th Anniversary.

Funds raised from the event support the many outstanding cultural, arts and community programs that are offered year-round in the Aratani Japan America Theatre, the George J. Doizaki Gallery, the Isamu Noguchi Plaza and the recently restored, James Irvine Japanese Garden. The event also offers corporate leaders and other professionals from American and Japanese business communities the opportunity to become acquainted in an informal and relaxed setting.

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the JACCC, we are introducing some exciting features to the tournament. This year, the 30th player to register at the course will receive a complimentary golf package worth $150! And, for most of us golfers who hack around the course, we will award prizes for any score divisible by 30!

With this event serving as a vital revenue source for the Center, we welcome your partnership and support in making this year's tournament a success.
