The Grove Theatre announces Oklahoma!, opening this Saturday, May 31st for 8 performances through Sunday June 15th. Rodgers and Hammerstein's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece about a romantic rivalry on the Western frontier boasts a collection of classic songs and a spirit that's made it an enduring favorite. Oklahoma! tells the story of the lovely Laurey and her two determined suitors: Curly the cowboy and Jud the hired farmhand, while tackling the class issues between farmers and cattlemen in the rugged landscape of a new state. Featuring such Broadway favorites as "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "People Will Say We're in Love," "The Surrey With the Fringe on Top," and the exuberant title song, this brilliant first collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein set box-office records as it ushered in the Golden Age of American musical theater.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday at 7:29 pm and on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and $25 for adults, $15 for children and students, with senior and group discounts and can be purchased by calling (909) 920-4343, or by visiting The Grove box office. The Grove Theatre is located at 276 E. Ninth Street, Upland, CA 91786.
