GREY GARDENS Fans Letters of Little Edie Beale For Sale

A collection of cards and letters for sale written by the late Edith Bouvier Beale (1917-2002) of GREY GARDENS stage and screen fame. Miss Beale was 1st cousin of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Known to audiences as "Little Edie"; Miss Beale was the subject of the documentary GREY GARDENS (1976), a Tony Award winning musical (2006) with the same name, and once again; an Emmy and Golden Globe award winning HBO film entitled GREY GARDENS (2009) --starring Drew Barrymore & Jessica Lange, now available on DVD.

The 100 pieces of correspondence are from years 1976 - 1985 and 2000-2001. Bold faced names "Little Edie" discusses include Jackie Onassis, her sister Princess Lee Radziwill, Andy Warhol, Osama Bin Ladin, ElIan Gonzalez and many others in addition to Pat Loud of the landmark TV series AN AMERICAN FAMILY (PBS, 1973). Mrs. Loud was very recently the subject of the HBO film CINEMA VERITE (2009), soon to be released on DVD. CINEMA VERITE stars Tim Robbins, James Gandolfini and Diane Lane as Pat Loud. It is the behind-the scenes story about the making of AN AMERICAN FAMILY -- the first reality TV series in the history of television.

PBS will present a two-hour AN AMERICAN FAMILY special comprised of filmmakers' selections of scenes handpicked from the groundbreaking 1973 series, a cinema vérité production that followed the lives of the Loud family of Santa Barbara, CA. The special premieres Thursday, July 7, 2011, 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET.
