Fringe Theatre Presents YOU LOVE THAT I'M NOT YOUR WIFE, Now thru 10/5
From the Co-Writer/Director of the Off-Broadway hit Marry, F*** or Kill comes the world premiere of the fast-paced dramedy You Love That I'm NOT Your Wife, presented by Fringe Theatre Company today, September 12 through October 5, 2014 at the Avery Schreiber Playhouse, 4934 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA 91601.
Written and directed by Joanne Mosconi, You Love That I'm NOT Your Wife features a tableau of quirky characters and lots of romance as it takes a look at modern relationships that mirror contemporary life in Los Angeles.
Just as raw, edgy and sexy as Marry, F*** or Kill, You Love That I'm NOT Your Wife is smart and hip in its playful depiction of the conventions that restrict or enhance romantic life.
You Love That I'm NOT Your Wife tells the stories of five women and five men living in Los Angeles for ten different reasons. But all have one thing in common: they need love and are looking for it in all the wrong places. When Marie invites all her friends for dinner to meet Tony Ciccarelli, her new fiancé after knowing him only a month, secrets and sex threaten to destroy their relationships. Until Sebastian, a twenty year old boy-toy arrives. He seems to be the voice of reason in a room full of older (and supposedly wiser) strangers, but will they listen to him?This world premiere of You Love That I'm NOT Your Wife will be performed by a group of talented actors including Paul Thomas Arnold, Chelsea Blechman, Blake Boyd, Rashad Davis, Michael Galante, Scotty Martin, Vanessa Mesia, Charlotte Price, Carrie Schroeder and Amanda Rae Troisi.
Says writer/director Mosconi, "This play is about ten different people whose need for human connection and love has caused them to act in ways they never imagined. Love is crazy. Love makes no sense. But,
we need it anyway. As Freud said, 'We are never so vulnerable as when we love.'"
