]THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director announce a very special Benefit Evening for the award-winning theatre institution, a staged reading of a new play starring Emmy Award-winning actor Ed Asner, THE LAST DANCE, written Jack Neworth and Cary Shulman and directed by Jack Bannon. THE LAST DANCE will perform One Night Only on Sunday, October 6 at 8pm at THE ROAD on MAGNOLIA,10747 Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood.

Jake's a 77-year-old ex-Marine Medal of Honor winner. In a remote Mexican fishing village, he lives with Gloria, a renowned artist, in a volatile relationship troubled by Jake's mysterious past. Gloria's convinced his delusional behavior is from pain medications. Or is it guilt from his involvement fifty years ago in the most notorious event of the 20th century?

A reception and talk back with the artists will immediately follow the performance. Live jazz will be performed at the after-party by the Theo Stevens Trio.
