By:

Culture Clash, the acclaimed, one-of-a-kind trio (Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza), bring their unique blend of irreverent humor to South Coast Repertory - with a distinct Orange County point of view - in Culture Clash in AmeriCCa.  Their poignant mosaic of life in America will run from March 16 through April 6 on the Julianne Argyros Stage.

"For the last 15 years, Culture Clash has been focusing on site-specific theater, weaving personal narratives culled from interviews into an ongoing dramatic tapestry.  The celebrated troupe now sets its sights on Orange County.  Culture Clash will explore the county through interviews with its residents and add Orange County's unique voice to Culture Clash in AmeriCCa's theatrical narrative.  They have previously created performance pieces for theater companies in Miami, San Diego, New York, Houston, Boston and San Francisco.  South Coast Repertory audiences last experienced the group in their adaptation of Aristophanes' The Birds, co-authored by SCR's Associate Artistic Director John Glore," describe press notes.

The creative team for Culture Clash in AmeriCCa includes Angela Balogh Calin (set and costume design), Lonnie Raphael Alcaraz (lighting design), John Glore (dramaturg) and Conwell Worthington III (stage manager).
