Chris Isaacson presents FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES at The Americana at Brand
Every Wednesday night beginning August 4, 2010 at 6 p.m. throughout the month of August, families and friends will once again gather on The Green to enjoy the last days of summer at the annual free concert series at The Americana at Brand. The concerts are produced by 'Chris Isaacson Presents!' who has produced and promoted over 450 events and some of the most influential stars of his generation. Isaacson is also creator and founder of Los Angeles’ renowned Upright Cabaret. Free and open to the public, the summer concert series will feature performances by some of the hottest names and rising stars in music. A premier lineup of musical talent includes:
• AUG. 4 at 6 p.m. – Grammy winner and Emmy-nominated singer/songwriter Steve Tyrell will jazz up the crowd when he performs some of his greatest hits at The Americana at Brand. A world renowned artist who shot to fame singing “The Way You Look Tonight” in the hit movie Father of the Bride, Steve Tyrell’s first album, A New Standard, spent 90 weeks on Billboard’s jazz chart and peaked in the top 5. Opening the evening is critically acclaimed singer and actress Jennifer Leigh Warren, praised for her show-stopping performance as "Alice's Daughter" in the original Broadway cast of Big River, originating the role of "Crystal" in the Alan Menken/Howard Ashman Off Broadway smash Little Shop of Horrors and for her performance in the original Broadway cast of Michael John LaChiusa's Marie Christine at Lincoln Center and was featured on the Grammy Award-nominated albums of those shows. Mrs. Warren will be joined by MD Gerald Sternbach.
