Director Matt Cimber, who was the creative genius behind the cult 1980's TV series, G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling), announces his latest project, a multi-media platform live-action reality comedy series, "Femme D'Action." It is making its first public appearance at Realscreen West at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica, California on June 5 & 6.

Fans of battling action female comic book characters have been clamoring for an updated, edgier version of the genre. Matt Cimber delivers with this new production consisting of two television series and two interactive web platforms. The television shows include one reality talent search program staring former G.L.O.W. girls who judge an upcoming crop of new talent vying to be the ladies you love to watch. The second series features the new "femmes" battling it out over causes they each, individually believe in and all the out of control antics that go on behind the scenes. Fights will be performed live with audience voting for the winners. Webisodes will take a deeper dive into the backstories of the characters and the real lives of the girls who portray them.

Characters from the new show will appear in person at the conference to interact with television executives interested in the new show.

"We are bringing some of our talented girls to the conference in character and costume. Let these executives see how unique, powerful and fun our girls are, up close and personal. After all, this is Realscreen," Cimber quipped.

Cimber further explained, "Femme D'Action reprises the winning formula of GLOW, Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling," a phenomenally successful TV show in the 1980's garnering some of the biggest TV ratings ever received in the time slot. GLOW ran in over 100 markets throughout the U.S. and internationally for four years.

Cimber made clear, "We do not want to redo GLOW. Femme D'Action highlights the spirit of women, through complex and interesting characters. We are striving for fresh, edgy comedy, drama and action. Wrestling is already on the air. We will offer something very different in our action sequences. If GLOW was a success back then, we can do so much more funny, edgy and off the wall now, especially if we go on cable, and we're not limited by a wrestling format."

How will TV executives, who typically only view sizzle reels of performance, respond to interaction with the interesting, funny, crazy cast? It should be interesting with their tag line "Comedy has never been so dangerous."

The series is currently in production and the Femme D'Action Production Co. is searching for the right cable partner to carry the series.

Matt Cimber is known in the entertainment industry for creating unique characters, interesting plots and quality productions. Quentin Tarantino, is quoted as saying Cimber films are some of his favorites.
