Bean, Margherita et al. Set For JAWBREAKER Concert July 29

A special one-night only concert of the new musical JAWBREAKER will be performed on July 29. Taking part in the special performance will be Shoshana Bean, and Lesli Margherita.

The book is by Darren Stein who also wrote the movie on which the musical is based on. The music and lyrics are by Jeff Thomas and Jordan Mann. Directing the show will be Jen Bender, musical direction will be by Adam Gubman.

The musical is "a darkly comedic, stylish girl clique musical with the mythic story of Courtney 'Satan in heels' Shayne and her minions who play a nasty birthday prank on their picture perfect bestie. It wasn't their fault the jawbreaker got stuck in her throat...or was it?"

The complete cast includes Liz Brackenbury, Scarlett Cherry, Deborah S. Craig, Jenna Leigh Green, Jason Heymann, Jen Malenke, Jackie Seiden, Marty Thomas and Katie Thompson.

Shoshana Bean's Broadway credits include WICKED, in which she played Elphaba, and HAIRSPRAY, in which she was a member of the ensemble and understudied the leading role of Tracy Turnblad. In addition, Bean has performed with Whitney Houston, Destiny's Child, *NSYNC, Ray Charles, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson and has performed frequently in cabaret.

Ms. Margherita received the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical for her portrayal of ‘Inez' in ZORRO, which played at the Garrick Theater in London's West End. A California native, Lesli began her LA career at UCLA. Immediately after she was chosen to star in MGM's television series "Fame LA" directed by Kenny Ortega, which is still shown all over the world. She has gone on to star and recur on many TV shows and pilots, including "The Suite Life On Deck", "Charmed", "NYPD Blue", "The District", "The King of Queens", "JAG" and "On The Lot", produced by Steven Spielberg. Recent films include Joel Schumacher's The Number 23 and the Sam Raimi produced Boogeyman 2. Lesli's voice can also be heard on several animated films including Disney's Cinderella 3.
