Arnaldo Makes Debut at Arthur Newman in Eartha Kitt Tribute, 1/30

By:

Arnaldo - Drag Chanteuse joins the line up of shows featured at the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert on January 30, 2011 at a 2 PM matinee. Arnaldo likes to say he is "Opening hearts and minds through music, one cabaret at a time", and what a time he is having! In his current critically acclaimed show, "C'est Si Bon", Arnaldo pays homage to his musical muse, the late, legendary Eartha Kitt. Although his vocal styling respectfully interprets the songs of Miss Kitt by emulating her style, it is not an impression - "after all there is only one Eartha," says Arnaldo.

But there's more to the show than the Kitt tribute, in another part of his act, Arnaldo returns to the stage in yet another gorgeous gown and sings a few International hits, many in the language in which they were written; French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese and even in Tagalog, Arnaldo's first language.

Arnaldo has appeared throughout the world as soloist with the Seattle Men's Chorus and headlined in leading cabarets in Seattle, San Francisco, Puerto Vallarta, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York where he won the coveted BISTRO CABARET AWARD in 2008 for Outstanding Characterization. And critics and colleagues have lauded his performances as "Utterly original and unabashedly glamorous, Arnaldo is a sensation" - Chay Yew, Director East West Players, LA; "A genius" singer, Anne Hampton Callaway; "A consummate Professional, Arnaldo knows showmanship" - Shaun Knittel, SGN; "Arnaldo serves a masterfully prepared, tasty banquet ala Eartha Kitt, a musical tribute to, not a cloning of the legend." - Mike Ward, SF Bay Times, "C'est Si Bon" one of the "Top 10 Cabaret Shows in San Francisco in 2010" - SF Bay Times.

Arnaldo - Drag Chanteuse is performing "C'est Si Bon" in a special matinee show, Sunday, January 30th at 2 PM, as a presentation of Les Michaels Life is A Cabaret Concert Series at the Arthur Newman Theater at the Joslyn Center, 73-750 Catalina Way, Palm Desert, CA. Tickets are only $10 at the door and reservations may be made by calling 760-325-2731.
