An Estimated One Million People Attended 'The 2012 Hollywood Christmas Parade Benefiting Marine Toys for Tots'

An estimated one million people attended "The 2012 Hollywood Christmas Parade Benefiting Marine Toys for Tots" held on the streets of Hollywood, CA on Sunday, November 25, 2012, parade officials announced today, making this year's event one of the most successful and well-attended parades in the parade's 81-year history.

Joe Mantegna ("Criminal Minds") reigned as Grand Marshal, with Erik Estrada ("World's Funniest Moments") and Laura McKenzie ("Laura McKenzie's Traveler") serving as parade Broadcast Hosts.

Presented by The City of Los Angeles and Associated Television International, the live parade was taped for national telecasts, which will air on The Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel.

Locally in Los Angeles, CA, the parade will air on KTLA-TV, December 14th (8:00 – 10:00 p.m.) The parade is also scheduled to air in syndication across the country and internationally via the American Forces Network around the world.

The telecasts of the parade will feature 200 film, television and stage stars, including: Maria Canals-Barrera, Lou Ferrgino, Thomas Gibson, Lou Gossett, Jr., Jerry Mathers, Natasha Henstridge, Susan Sullivan, George Takei and Uggie The Dog, along with cast members from popular television shows like "Baby Daddy," "Big Time Rush," "General Hospital," "Glee," "Judge Alex," "Murder, She Wrote," "The Bold and The Beautiful," "The First Family," "The Neighbors" and "The Young and The Restless," to name a few.

Performers include: Cirque du Soleil, Jabbawockeez, magician Joel Ward, and singers Drake Bell, Human Nature, Kimberley Locke, The McClain Sisters, The Pentatonix, Devon Werkheiser and Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo. Dean Cain ("Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman") serves as Host of the music portion of the special.

Other parade participants include: 21 award-winning bands, including 14 from the state of California and seven from out-of-state; 8 equestrian units; 6 floats; 14 balloons and 52 specialty characters/novelties.
