3x Grammy Nominee TAYLOR DAYNE with Frenchie Davis at SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

On Wed, August 18 beginning at 6 p.m., gather on The Green to enjoy the last days of summer at the annual free Summer Concert Series at The Americana at Brand produced by Chris Isaacson presents! Free and open to the public, the series will feature performances by some of the hottest names and rising stars in music...

Renowned pop singer, Taylor Dayne, one of the most recognizable and beloved personalities in pop music for more than 20 years, will perform live at The Americana at Brand as the summer concert series produced by Chris Isaacson Presents continues. With 17 Top-10 Hits including "Tell It to My Heart," "I'll Be Your Shelter," and "Love Will Lead You Back," Taylor Dayne stands out as one of music's most dynamic artists. Her versatile and powerful voice has gained recognition in multiple genres from pop and dance, to rock and adult contemporary; earning her three Grammy Nominations, and numerous multi-platinum and gold selling albums. She has sold out two world tours and successfully appeared in numerous film, television, and stage roles including Elton John and Tim Rice's Tony Award Winning Musical Aida in 2001.  She recently performed the official song of the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010, "Facing a Miracle" at the opening ceremonies on July 31.

Joining Dayne will be a special performance by season two American Idol semi-finalist and Broadway star Frenchie Davis.  The talented performer has appeared on Broadway in the musical RENT, the West coast tour of DreamGirls and starred with fellow American Idol alum Ruben Studdard in the hit Grammy nominated Broadway Musical revival of Ain't Misbehavin'.

Opening the evening will be Jake Simpson who twice (2003 and 2004) won the top honors in the Adult Singer category on CBS-TV's "Star Search" with his powerful high tenor voice and three-octave range.  He has performed on The Oprah Winfrey Show with his idol Stevie Wonder, toured with Jim Brickman, recorded vocals on American Idol finalist David Archuletta's albums and recently recorded various tracks with songwriter Desmond Child for Adam Lambert, another American Idol.
