Join us on Saturday, April 22nd at 3pm at the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (97 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY) Inductee and WLIR Program Director and DJ Denis McNamara, WLIR DJ Larry “the Duck” Dunn, Donna Donna, and Max “the Mighty Maxximizer” Leinwand in celebrating the legacy of this great Long Island institution!
WLIR was best known as an influential radio station that launched the careers of many musical acts and disc jockeys from the 1970s through the 1990s. Rumor has it they still are throwing their dance parties every weekend. Come reminisce with the stories of the famed voices behind some of your best car rides. Live on our 2nd-floor stage. Seating is limited. Free with museum admission.
