Stages Announces Spring 2014 Theater Workshop

Stages, A Children's Theatre Workshop, Inc., invites young actors to join its Spring 2014 Theater Programs.Stages offers a variety of programs throughout the school year.

The popular Spring Performance Workshop for actors ages 8-18 will be held at the Southampton Town Recreation Center at 1370A Majors Path in Southampton on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30-6:30 PM beginning Wednesday, March 5th to May 11th. This nine-week Workshop will culminate in the performance of a full scale musical production at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor on May 9th, 10th, and 11th. Once Upon A Mattress, Bye Bye Birdie, and Anything Goes among others are productions under consideration. Actors might not be required to attend every rehearsal. The cost of the Performance Workshop is $475.

For younger actors, mature 6-10 year olds, Stages offers its Creative Drama Workshop, meeting Tuesdays from 4:00 PM-5:30 PM starting Tuesday, March 4th through Tuesday, April 8th. This six-week class is designed as an introduction to acting. A presentation of a short play will be held on the final day of the session, April 8th. The Creative Drama Workshop will be held at the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. The cost is $275.
