Playmaking Class Announced At Bay Street Theatre 2/9-4/20

Bay Street Theatre is pleased to announce a new adult class called PLAYMAKING. The 10-week class will run Wednesday evenings, from 6 - 9 pm starting February 9 and continuing until April 20.

PLAYMAKING will concentrate on the development of 4 new one act plays. Initially all members will participate in improvisational acting and writing exercises that will kick off the sessions. The class has openings for 4 playwrights, 4 directors, and between 8 and 16 actors. The group will be divided into 4 creative teams comprising of 1 playwright, 1 director and between 2-4 actors. This group will collaborate in their respective disciplines to create and develop a new one act play. Plays will be rehearsed and discussed culminating in a presentation.

The course will be administered by Bay Street Theatre's Artistic Director Murphy Davis. Participants must be 16 years or older and stipulate which discipline of the course they are interested in.
