Bay Street Theatre Hosts ERIN GO MARDI GRAS PARTY Tonight

By:

Dance and party at Bay Street Theatre at the ERIN GO MARDI GRAS PARTY tonight, March 16 at 8 pm. (This is a rescheduled event from the Mardi Gras Party on February 9 that was cancelled due to weather). Dance to Joe Lauro's HOODOO LOUNGERS and Gene Casey & THE LONE SHARKS. Tickets are $15 in advance and can be purchased at the box office or online at www.baystreet.org. Tickets will be $25 at the door. Dress in your best St Pat's Mardi Gras Finery.

You can't have a Mardi Gras themed party without the music of Joe Lauro's HOODOO LOUNGERS! The band brings all the sounds, excitement and feeling of a true New Orleans Mardi Gras. From the funk of the Neville Brothers and the Meters, to the R&B of Dr. John and Professor Longhair to the traditional Dixieland and Jazz of Louis Armstrong and Louis Prima, the band offers a variety of sounds for a great party. The nine piece band plays the full spectrum of New Orleans music in a fast paced, dynamic show.

Gene Casey & THE LONE SHARKS are no strangers to the best events around the East End. They first performed in the summer of 1988 & soon became a foothold in the Hamptons music scene. They later had a residency at the legendary bar called The Wild Rose Café, while at the same time playing in New York City at the Bottom Line, the Waldorf Astoria's ballroom. The band later added R&B and New Orleans vibes with Gene's rockabilly-based guitar for hard-driving interpretations of vintage roots music. For over the past ten years, the band has remained a favorite on the East End with four CD's including, "Fire. Theft & Casualty" and "Aqua Western" featuring original songs, "Swing, Baby Swing," "I Ain't Dead Yet" and "Dirty All the Time." Most recently, the band has added a swinging style to their music as well. Two of Gene's originals tunes were featured in the premier season of the FX Network's JUSTIFIED.
