TV: Nick Adams: Acting With Style

By:

This week Playboy announced its online "Fall Fashion Guide" which launched to coincide with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. It features prominent actor and model Nick Adams to help showcase the Americana-inspired autumnal styles. Adams, 25, recently starred in Broadway's A Chorus Line as Larry -- opposite Mario Lopez -- and soon will be recognized for his upcoming 2(x)ist underwear campaign.

The theater-turned-big-screen actor just completed filming "An Englishman in New York," starring two-time Oscar nominee John Hurt. Nick has also graced the Broadway stage in Chicago and The Pirate Queen. The talented and very busy young Adams let BroadwayWorld TV tag along as he spent the day at the Playboy offices in preparation for the online pictorial launch.

Almost two years ago, Playboy's Fashion Director Joseph DeAcetis launched the popular "Playboy Style" section to serve as an online extension of the monthly magazine, multi-page fashion pictorials. Significantly this season, Playboy.com showcases American designers and brands -- including a new a sportswear line from Calvin Klein called Calvin Klein Sport, GAP, Under Armour, and C9 by Champion -- and reflects an "all-American" theme via American-style lager sponsor Budweiser Select. The pictorial was shot at the West Sayville Country Club by DeAcetis who paid homage to his Long Island, New York hometown by selecting it as the backdrop. He also purposely cast three unknown male models, who are not professionals but rather local college students, to pose alongside Adams and Ukrainian beauty Natalia Komissarova.

When he is not styling and photographing for Playboy.com's seasonal fashion guides, DeAcetis oversees the men's style content for Playboy magazine, where he has worked for five years, informing its 10 million readers about the newest trends in men's fashion. In recent months, he has collaborated with celebrity photographers such as Mick Rock, Antoine Verglas, and Harry Benson.

Playboy is one of the most recognized and popular consumer brands in the world. Playboy Enterprises, Inc. is a media and lifestyle company that markets the brand through a wide range of media properties and licensing initiatives. The company publishes Playboy magazine in the United States and abroad and creates content for distribution via television networks, websites, mobile platforms, DVD and radio. Through licensing agreements, the Playboy brand appears in more than 100 countries on a wide range of consumer products, entertainment locations and retail stores.
