Little Rock Central High School Department of Theatre Presents BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL

Public performances will be held at LRCH in the Roosevelt Levander Thompson Auditorium on Friday, March 9 at 7pm and Saturday, March 10 at 2pm. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Seating is general admission, and tickets are only available at the door.

Campbell (Annie McCurdy) is cheer-royalty at Truman High School and her senior year should prove the most cheertastic - she's been named captain of the squad! Her best friends (Ellis Golden and Kate Kelly) are also team members, as is her boyfriend, Steven (Carter Rideout). But, an unexpected redistricting has forced her and another Truman squad member Bridget (Hannah Martini) to spend their final year of high school at the neighboring hard-knock Jackson High School. Despite having the deck stacked against her, Campbell befriends the dance crew girls (Tania Kelley and James Slack) and, along with their headstrong and hardworking leader, Danielle (Paige Mitchell), manages to form a powerhouse squad for the ultimate competition - the National Championships. With help from some of the Jackson guys (JaQuan Britt and Chase Sproles) and the school DJ Randall (Ollie Burrow), their new squad might just have what it takes.

Bitingly relevant, sprinkled with sass and inspired by the hit film, "Bring It On The Musical" takes audiences on a high-flying journey that is filled with the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal and forgiveness. Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, "Bring It On" features an original story by Tony Award winner, Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Hamilton), music by Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning composer, Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist, Amanda Green (High Fidelity), and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical.

"Bring It On" is directed by Hannah M. Sawyer, with music direction by Brice Evans, technical direction by Michael Scott, and costume supervision by Kimberly Dade. Choreography by Taylor Brown, JaQuan Britt, Justin Wise, Jaimee Shaw and LaDiona Sardin. Stage Managed by Koren Evans and Taylor Brewer.

"Bring It On The Musical" is intended for audiences 7th grade and older.
