Tropical Smoothie Café Celebrates 10 Years in Las Vegas Valley

In mid-April, Tropical Smoothie Café will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in Southern Nevada. Since opening its first store in Henderson in 2001, the popular restaurant chain serves healthy, real-fruit smoothies and tasty sandwiches, wraps and salads at 19 locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

"It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years since we introduced Tropical Smoothie Café to the market. We have extremely loyal customers who have been a crucial part of our success in Las Vegas," said Dina Mitchell, area developer for Nevada.

As part of the 10-year anniversary, the flagship store located at Eastern Avenue and Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson will permanently switch from fixed operating hours to 24-hours on April 18. This store is also offering two anniversary specials. Also on April 18, customers at this location who purchase a smoothie at regular price can get any sandwich or wrap for only 10 cents. And from April 18 through 24, all customers who visit this store between midnight and 6 a.m. and mention "10-year anniversary" will get 50 percent off of their entire order.

The first store in Southern Nevada was also Tropical Smoothie Café's 24th location in the nation. Six of the 19 Vegas area stores are among the top 10 in sales throughout the company's more than 285 locations. The top-selling store within the entire company is located at Flamingo and I-215.

Under Mitchell's leadership, area stores have been active in philanthropy with local and national nonprofit organizations for the past 10 years. The Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada, Camp Sunshine, Salvation Army, Public Education Foundation and Las Vegas Philharmonic, are among the organizations that have benefitted from Tropical Smoothie Café's community outreach efforts.
