Plaza Hotel & Casino Host AVANT GARDE Beginning 2/14
Veteran producer Jon Fondy brings an entertainment experience unlike any other to the Plaza Hotel & Casino. With an array of entertainers, "Avant Garde" is described as a collection of "music, mirth, magic and mayhem." The show opens at the historic Plaza showroom Tuesday, February 14th at 7:00 PM.
"Avant Garde" was created specifically for Las Vegas, and is directed by Juliana Chen, who can also be seen performing in the show. Chen is master magician and is the only woman to win the World Championship of Magic in the last 50 years. Alongside Chen is producer Jon Fondy, who has produced more than 600 television shows and more than 400 live shows.
"With the explosion of all the new elements of Downtown Las Vegas, we, as well as the folks at the Plaza, are excited to become an integral part of it," said Fondy. "That's why we produced a show of international quality to provide an entertainment experience for all guests-domestic and international."
The rotating stars of "Avant Garde" include:
Juliana Chen (China), world champion magician and juggler
Ed Alanzo (U.S.), "The Misfit of Magic" and performer in Britney Spears' "Circus" tour
Michael Finney (U.S.), comedian/emcee;
Rudy Colby (U.S.), "The Labman," a comedic magician
Aaron Crow (Belgium), suspenseful stunt artistry
Jerome Murat (France), "The Living Statue," a pantomime artist
Kevin James (U.S.), comedic illusionist
Lindsey Stirling (U.S.), hip-hop violinist
Sonny Fontana (Venezuela), hand shadow creations
"Avant Garde" will debut in the Plaza's 600-seat showroom that has retained its retro Vegas format. The show will be live six nights a week at 7 p.m., and dark on Friday nights.
