ACADEMY OF NEVADA BALLET THEATRE HOSTS FREE OPEN HOUSE

WHAT: The Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre's annual Ballet & Dance Open House takes place Wednesday, August 24, 2016. This interactive and engaging annual event will kick-off an exciting new season of classes for all ages including ballet, pointe, jazz, music and movement; tap, hip-hop, contemporary, character, theatre dance, modern and more. Classes for the 2016 fall season begin on Monday, August 29.

As part of the Open House, attendees will be able to:

· Register for classes and experience the fun of a live performance by the students themselves.

· Register to audition for the annual winter classic The Nutcracker.

· Take part in mini dance classes taught by Academy instructors.

· Learn more about the Academy's Ballet and Dance Competition Opportunities

· Get a rare behind-the-scenes look at the NBT wardrobe department and browse through hundreds of costumes from past performances that will be on sale

· Learn to create the perfect ballet bun.
