MONDAYS DARK, created and produced by Mark Shunock, star of "Rock of Ages" at The Venetian Las Vegas, celebrated its two-year anniversary with a high-energy performance including music, comedy, dance and a surprise performance of "Electric Youth" by pop icon Debbie Gibson on Monday, Dec. 14 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Of the $58,600 raised on Monday, $39,600 (all proceeds from ticket sales) will be split evenly by the 11-featured charities of 2015: The Center; Blind Center of Nevada; Dress for Success Southern Nevada; Olive Crest; Keep Memory Alive; ORION Cancer Foundation; United Way of Southern Nevada; Three Square Food Bank; Las Vegas Labrador Rescue; Project 150 and Home Aid Southern Nevada. This equates to an additional $3,600 for each 2015 charity on top of the money each raised at their individual events earlier in the year. In 2015 alone, MONDAYS DARK events raised $136,767 for all 11 charities. From the two-year anniversary event, the $19,000 raised from silent and live auctions will stay with MONDAYS DARK as the organization prepares to kick off 2016 events in January.

The 11-featured 2016 charities and event dates are: Injured Police Officer's Fund (Jan. 25); Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas (Feb. 15); Fire Fighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation (Mar. 21); The Foundation Assisting Seniors (Apr. 25); Though The Eyes Of A Child Foundation (May 16); Habitat For Humanity Las Vegas (June 20); USO Las Vegas (July 18); Make A Wish Southern Nevada (Aug. 15); Shiloh Horse Rescue & Sanctuary (Sept. 19); Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada (Oct. 17); Broadway In The Hood (Nov. 21); and the 3rd Anniversary Bash will take place in December.

"Our two-year anniversary was an amazing night. What a thrill to bring together so many fantastic entertainers - including a surprise visit by Debbie Gibson! - to play to an audience 1,400 strong, while bringing together 22 local charities under one roof," said Shunock. "Every month we put on what I think is the best entertainment value in town, raising about $10,000 for each charity. And we do it $20 a person, 90-minutes at a time."
