HAPPY 50ISH to Bring Mid-Life Crisis Musical Comedy to the D Las Vegas, 12/19-23

Off-Broadway sensation, HAPPY 50ISH!, the mid-life crisis musical comedy is preparing to party it up inside the Showroom at the D Las Vegas during a special limited engagement from December 19 to 23. HAPPY50ish!, directed by Paul Stancato, debuted July 15, 2015, will play at The Beckett Theatre. The two-man performance revolves around Bob's surprise birthday party, as he turns the big five-0.

Performances are 2:30 p.m. December 20 & 23, and 8:45 p.m. December 19-23. Tickets start at $29.95++, and are now on sale by phone at 702-388-2111 or tickets.thed.com.

The cast features Lynn Shore and Mark Vogel. The story follows Bob, performed by Shore, who learns to laugh and make fun of all the things that inevitably come with age. He's arrived early for his party, his wife is running late, and there's a backyard full of party guests. While reading his birthday cards aloud, he learns that turning 50 magnifies the unintended and hilarious realities of middle age.

Shore, an actor, musician and author collaborated with Vogel and David Burnham on the project following his own 50th birthday celebration highlighted with a midlife crisis. Shore's credits include The Wizard of Oz (Garden Grove Civic), Godspell (Starlight Bowl in San Diego), The Sound of Music (Starlight Bowl in San Diego), and the West Coast premiere of Babe's in Toyland (San Diego's Fox Theater). Vogel is a BMI-winning television and film composer, and a performer, music director, and producer. He started his network television career on Full House as a member of Jesse and the Rippers, starring John Stamos. Burnham performs locally in Steve Wynn's Showstoppers.
