Country Group Lonestar Plays The Orleans Showroom, December 7 and 8
Celebrating their 20th anniversary, country super-group Lonestar will perform their greatest hits at The Orleans Showroom December 7 and 8, as part of Boyd Gaming's Wrangler National Finals Rodeo entertainment line-up.
Originally formed in Nashville in 1992, Lonestar played more than 500 shows before landing a recording contract and releasing their self-titled debut in 1995. Their first single, "Tequila Talkin'" landed in the Top 10 on the country charts, and the follow-up "No News" became Lonestar's first No. 1 single in 1996.
The band's No. 1 smash hit, "Amazed," spent eight weeks at the top of the Billboard country charts in 1999. As the song crossed over to reach No. 1 on the Billboard "Hot 100" chart, Lonestar's follow-up single, "Smile," reached No. 1 on the Billboard country charts.
Over the next five years, Lonestar scored five additional No. 1 country hits: "What About Now" and "Tell Her" in 2000; "I'm Already There" in 2001; "My Front Porch Looking In" in 2003; and "Mr. Mom" in 2004.
Recently reunited with original lead singer Richie McDonald, Lonestar is working on a new album and released their current single, "The Countdown" in August.
Lonestar is comprised of McDonald, lead vocals and piano; Michael Britt, lead guitar and backing vocals; Keech Rainwater, drums; and Dean Sams, keyboard, acoustic guitar and backing vocals.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $39.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased at any Coast Casinos Box Office, by calling 702.365.7075 or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.
