ROCK OF AGES
JUNE 18 - JULY 13
Written by Chris D'Arienzo
ROCK OF AGES is a jukebox musical that tells the story of Drew, a Bourbon Room busboy and Sherrie, a
small town girl, who are pursuing their dreams of becoming rock stars in Los Angeles. They fall in love at first
sight, but their romance faces challenges from the music industry, rival bands, and a greedy developer who
wants to demolish the rock club where they work. This musical is a brash, energetic, tribute to classic rock,
built around classic rock songs of the 1980’s featuring songs from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar,
Twisted Sister, and Poison, among other well-known rock bands. It’s a tribute to over-the-top ballads and fierce
guitar, with the gritty glamor and rough energy of the Sunset Strip. You’ll be singing along with “Waiting for a
Girl Like You”, “Pour Some Sugar on Me”, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”, “Heat of the Moment”, “Every Rose
Has It’s Thorn”, “More Than Words”, “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, “Don’t Stop Believing” and many more hits.
