Right Between the Ears Goes Live Coast-to-Coast 8/27
The award-winning comedy show Right Between the Ears kicks off a new season with a performance at the Kansas Public Radio studios, to be broadcast live on Laugh USA, Sirius-XM 96 - Saturday, August 27 at 7:00pm.
Right Between the Ears airs every week on Sirius-XM and on the stations of Kansas Public Radio. Saturday's performance will mark the third time the comedy troupe has appeared in a live, nationwide broadcast from the Lawrence studios of KPR.
Topical Take-Offs and Put-Ons
Although still in preparation at press time, the RBTE season opener will include riffs on the 2012 Presidential campaign, with take-offs on Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry. Also, billionaire businessman Warren Buffett tries (and fails) to dispense financial wisdom on "Fishing with Dwayne"; due to funding cuts, the doctors of "Incompetents Hospital" perform a colonoscopy with a xerox machine; and the Green Lantern has tips for how to pick up women if you're the star of a big budget movie flop.
Tickets Now On Sale
Studio audience tickets for are on sale now at the Right Between the Ears website. Seating for Saturday's in-studio performance is very limited, so fans are advised to purchase tickets soon.

RBTE is a four-time winner of the Gold Medal as Best Comedy Show at the New York Festivals. On the air since 1985, the series was also named National Best of Show at the Silver Microphone Awards and received four Gold Program Awards from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in the categories Best Live Entertainment and Outstanding Technical Achievment. Right Between the Ears is produced by Darrell Brogdon, and has been broadcast on National Public Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, XM Satellite Radio, BBC Radio 4 and Delta Radio. The show was also featured in its own weekly series on public TV stations in 2001.
Right Between the Ears is broadcast every Saturday at 7:00pm Central on Laugh USA, Sirius-XM 96; Sundays at 2:00pm on KPR 2, Kansas Public Radio's 24-7 news talk channel; and Sundays at 7:00pm on Kansas Public Radio stations (91.5 Lawrence; 89.7 Emporia; 91.3 Junction City; 99.5 Manhattan).
