Kansas City's 5th Annual 'Bowl A Strike Against Violence' Set for 10/20

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, and LGBT History Month--which means it's time for Kansas City Anti-Violence Project's Bowl A "Strike" Against Violence event helping to raise funds for LGBT victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Hate crimes in Missouri and Kansas. The event's 5th anniversary promises to be the biggest and best yet, and is set for Saturday October 20, 2012 from 1-4pm at Ward Parkway Lanes, located at 1523 W 89th St., Kansas City, Missouri, 64114. Team and individual tickets are now on sale can be purchased online through www.kcavp.org.

Your ticket to Bowl A "Strike" Against Violence will include unlimited bowling, shoe rental, food (featuring Waldo Pizza), access to win amazing raffle prizes, lots of great social time, and emcee Dirty Dorothy keeping the afternoon going. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume and compete in contests like best Individual Costume, Best Team Themed Costume, and more.

Individual tickets are $45 and lanes for teams of six starts at $250. This year there will also be a VIP Team option where you will get lane service for all your food and drink needs. "Fan's" who want to attend the event, but not bowl can purchase tickets for $25. There are also sponsorship opportunities available, featuring two new levels this year where donors can sponsor a LGBT youth or team of youth so they can enjoy the event as well.
