John Treacy Egan and More Complete Cast of Missouri Professional Premiere of A COMEDY OF TENORS

Casting is now complete for the Missouri Professional Premiere of the fast-paced, over-the-top farce A Comedy of Tenors, playing from September 1 - September 9. A Comedy of Tenors will be directed by Harry Bouvy (The Lyceum's 1776 and A Christmas Carol, 2016).

A Comedy of Tenors is Ken Ludwig's hilarious sequel to his Tony Award and Drama Desk Award-winning farce Lend Me a Tenor which last appeared on the Lyceum's stage in 2014. One hotel suite, four tenors, two wives, three girlfriends, and a soccer stadium filled with screaming fans. What could possibly go wrong? It's 1930s Paris and the stage is set for the concert of the century-as long as producer Henry Saunders can keep Italian superstar Tito Merelli and his hot-blooded wife Maira from causing runaway chaos. Prepare for an uproarious ride, full of mistaken identities, bedroom hijinks, and madcap delight.

Making his Lyceum debut, John Treacy Egan plays the dual roles of Tito Morelli, one of Italy's most famous opera singers, and Beppo, a hotel bellhop. Egan's Broadway credits include My Fair Lady, Casa Valentina, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Sister Act, Disney's The Little Mermaid, The Producers, Jekyll & Hyde, Bye Bye Birdie. Off-Broadway credits include Clinton, Disaster, When Pigs Fly!, and Batboy. TV/Film: Gotham, Younger, The Good Wife, The Knick, Boardwalk Empire, Nurse Jackie, 30 Rock, Cupid, Law & Order, Last Night, and The Producers. Also making her Lyceum debut, Kathy Voytko plays Maria, Tito's fiery Italian wife. Broadway credits include Tuck Everlasting, A Gentleman's Guide To Love And Murder, Oklahoma!, Nine, The Frogs, The Pirate Queen, and Next To Normal. She played Eva on the 25th anniversary tour of Evita, and Christine on the North American tour of The Phantom Of The Opera.

Jay Russell returns to the Lyceum to play Saunders, the high-strung American producer. Broadway credits include End of the Rainbow, The Play What I Wrote. National Touring credits include Wicked (Dr. Dillamond), Beauty & the Beast (Lumiere). Off-Broadway credits include Our Town, Travels with my Aunt, The Normal Heart, Around the World in 80 Days. TV/Film: Gotham, Ugly Betty, Seven Seconds, Boardwalk Empire, Louie, Sopranos, Law & Order(s), Morning Glory, In Lieu of Flowers, Ride. Birdie. Sean Bell makes his Lyceum debut by playing Max, a rising American opera singer and former assistant to Saunders. Sean has performed in numerous theatrical productions in NYC and across the country, most recently at Bucks County Playhouse and The Kennedy Center. On television he has appeared in HBO's Boardwalk Empire as well as Amazon's Z and Red Oaks.

Returning to the Lyceum, Hannah Jane McMurray plays Racon, Tito's ex-lover. Her recent credits include the National Tours of Dirty Dancing and Peter Pan 360. NY/Regional credits include Halcyon Days (Dir. Alex Dinelaris), Twelfth Night, Love's Labour's Lost (Boomerang), Death for Five Voices, The Hidden Sky (Prospect Theater), Love is Dead! (Locked in the Attic), My Way... (Smithtown PAC), The Miser (Piper Theater), and Les Miserables (Weston Playhouse). At the Lyceum McMurray was seen in 1776 and Murder on the Nile. Making her Lyceum debut, MOLLY MCCASKILL plays Mimi, the daughter of Tito and Maria. A recent graduate or Webster University in St. Louis her regional credits include Gloria in Will Mr. Merriwether Return From Memphis? (Tennessee Williams Festival), Marie Leroux in Is He Dead? (Saint Louis Shakespeare), and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls (Austin Summerstock). Also making his Lyceum debut, CONNER ANTICO plays Carlo, a young opera impresario who is in love with Mimi. Connor is a recent Pace University Musical Theater graduate (BFA 2018). Credits include Evangeline, A Curious Journey; Tunny in American Idiot, Trigorin in The Seagull (Pace University). Scenic design is by Lyceum Theatre Resident Scenic Designer RYAN J. ZIRNGIBL. Mr. Zirngibl has designed many productions at The Lyceum including LES MISERABLES, A Christmas Carol, Million Dollar Quartet, Around the World in 80 Days, The King and I, and Fiddler on the Roof. Resident Lighting Designer RANDY B. WINDER has designed over 100 Lyceum productions including Cats, A Christmas Carol, LES MISERABLES, Million Dollar Quartet, and The Fantasticks. KERRI PACKARD is the Costume Designer, CORBIN WHITE is the Sound Designer, IVAN DARIO CANO returns for his third year and is the Production Stage Manager, and LINDSAY KIPNIS is the Assistant Stage manager.

The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)(3), professional theatre located in the unique village of Arrow Rock, Missouri, a 19th century National Historic Landmark. The Lyceum has been entertaining audiences in the heart of Missouri for 58 years producing a variety of musicals, dramas and comedies. Each year, this 416 seat theatre attracts professional talent from across the country to produce an eight show season (June-December).
