PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Educational Arts Team is a Jersey City non-profit dedicated to empowering youth through creative arts and social-emotional learning. Ed Arts is a community staple known for its high-impact summer camps and school-based arts programming. 

We are seeking an actor for the title role in "Perseus: The Prophecy," an adaptation of Ovid’s Metamorphoses. The production includes a blend of stage magic, movement, and technology, and will tour local schools following its public premiere.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
PERSEUS: (Male, 18-20s) A spirited youth who matures into a measured hero. Driven by love for his mother and a desire to defy a dark family prophecy. Physicality and comfort with movement-heavy staging are a plus.

DATES & REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
This production uses a phased rehearsal schedule to accommodate summer camp programming.
- Phase 1: June 4, 6, 9, and 11 (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
- Phase 2: Rehearsals resume in September (Dates TBD).
- Public Performance Date: Saturday, October 3rd @ 6:00 PM.
- School Tour: Early November – Early December (Local area schools/Hudson County).

COMPENSATION & LOGISTICS

• Rehearsal Pay: $1,000 total flat rate ($500 for 20 hours in June / $500 for 20 hours in Sept).

• Performance Pay: $150.00 per performance.

• Guaranteed Base: $1,150.00 (Includes all rehearsals and Oct 3rd public premiere).

• Additional Pay: $150.00 per show for the school tour (final number of school bookings TBA).
