'The Adding Machine - Actors Theatre of Los Santos

LOCATION: Actors Theatre of Los Santos (ATLS) is a private 'fiveM' server for the video game GTA V that uses mods (dpemotes, spooner, vMenu, and Menyoo) to create a space in which live theatre can be performed by actors with full lighting, sound, costume, and set design.



TIME(s): Submisson Deadline: Feb. 29, Rehearsals/production process: March 4 - May 30, weekday evenings TBD (7pm-10pm), all times CST; runs May 31 - Jun. 9, Fri. and Sat. evenings (6:30pm-9:30pm) + Sunday afternoons (1:30pm-4:30pm), all times CST.



PROCESS: During rehearsals and the final performances of 'The Adding Machine,' actors and designers will meet on a private 'fiveM' server of the MMORPG video game, Grand Theft Auto V. Once on the server, designers will create the set, lighting, sound, and costume designs using various item spawners and character model creation menus. After all designs have been set, actors will manipulate their virtual avatars, using a wide variety of custom character gestures and animations, to perform the action of the play. At the same time the play’s dialogue will be read from the script and spoken directly into the actors’ microphones. Each rehearsal and the final performances of 'The Adding Machine' will be broadcast live on my YouTube Channel, @ActorsTheatreLosSantos. Highlights of each rehearsal, as well as the final performance will be uploaded there.



REQUIREMENTS: Please determine whether your system can handle GTA V before submitting.



Equipment Requirements: Headphones and a quality microphone; PC with Windows 8.1 or higher, capable of running GTA V through Steam.



Minimum System Requirements:

Computer Processing Unit (CPU): Intel Core 2 Q6600 @ 2.40GHz or AMD Phenom 9850 @ 2.5GHz

Graphics Processing Unit (GPU): NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB or AMD HD 4870 1GB or Intel HD GT2

Random-access Memory (RAM): 8GB (4 may work)

Hard Disk Drive (HDD): 105GB + ~4GB
