SALARY

$650/Wk during rehearsals, $400 per week after opening

ABOUT US

The Downtown Cabaret Theatre is seeking a Stage Manager for our Fall production of Rent. The Downtown Cabaret Theatre has a 40+ year history of producing regional theatre from our home in Bridgeport, CT. We operate as a community theatre (unpaid actors) backed by professional design and creative teams to produce the highest possible quality theatre in Fairfield County.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Stage Managers are required to attend and run all rehearsals and performances, coordinate scheduling with production company, relay all production related information to cast and crew as necessary, attend all production meetings, write and distribute rehearsal and performance reports, work closely with the creative and administrative teams on all matters of production.



REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should have a minimum 2 years professional and/or academic experience

Be able to display excellent communication and organization skills

Be able to work independently to manage a cast and crew of 20-30

Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Be adaptable and able to manage production changes at short notice

Be versed in Google Suite

Experience with theatrical lighting and/or sound encouraged but not required

BREAKDOWN

Start Date: August 9, 2022

End Date: October 16, 2022

Productions: Rent

Pay: $650/week during rehearsals, $400/week after opening (paid biweekly)

Rehearsals: 6:00 - 10:00pm Sunday through Wednesdays (subject to change)
