Seeking Male & Female BIPOC Singer/ Movers for BRAND NEW DAY Concert



Located in Roanoke, VA, Virginia Children's Theatre produces a variety year-round, high caliber professional broadway-style musicals, concerts, and issue driven plays each season.

Looking for 3 adult (male and female) BIPOC lead singers for our BRAND NEW DAY concert in July. You would be joined by 2-3 other professionals and a youth company of VCT singers/ dancers.



Each singer/ mover would have around 3 main songs (solo's, duets, trios etc) and the rest would be full cast numbers that you would be featured in alongside our youth cast of dancers/ singers.



This concert is a part of our professional mainstage series. The concert will be performed on the Elmwood Park Amphitheatre in downtown Roanoke. It's a really fun outdoor summer theatre event that our families and patrons look forward to coming to!



This concert will have a literature element incorporated into the concert to coincide with the music. BRAND NEW DAY will celebrate unity across the board using gender identity, LGBTQ and cultural/ ethnic diversity as our main focus. Free children's books (with the above topics) will be handed out to patrons as they enter. We will use these topics throughout the concert in a family friendly way to celebrate diversity and inclusion.



CONTRACT DETAILS:

Rehearsal Dates: August 2nd-5th

Show Dates: August 6th & 7th

Compensation: $250 (local)-300 (out of town) for the week- Paid via direct deposit on 8/5

Housing: Housing provided (All linens, towels, washer/ dryer, full kitchen, kitchenware etc. included)- Located right outside of downtown Roanoke- 1.5 miles from the rehearsal location

Travel Stipend: Provided (Paid on 7/29)
