$350 Weekly for Production Stage Manager
Listing Information
Seeking Production Stage Manager for RSF's Summer Production of As You Like It. Also seeking ASM.
Show rehearses Tuesday - Saturday from Noon to 6 PM, (subject to change during tech week) with Sundays and Mondays off.
Performances are Friday, Saturday at 7:30 PM and a Sunday Matinee at 2 PM. Rehearsals begin on 5/23/23 with opening on Friday 6/16/23 and closing on Sunday 6/25/23.
Single Housing Provided.
Responsibilities include those as typically assigned to a Production Stage Manager, such as:
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all stage management tasks and paperwork including recording all blocking
- Managing the rehearsal period and supervise the technical rehearsals
- Ensuring the successful execution of the creative team’s vision of the show
- Assist with moving scenery/props on the deck as necessary during rehearsals
- Supervise run during performances.
- Tape out the playing space
- Spike scenery and props onstage as needed.
- Oversee Stage Management load in/out
- Create backstage run sheets.
- Collaborate with Artistic Director/Director as necessary.
- Enact/manage emergency protocol in the event of an emergency.
- Other duties as assigned by Artistic Director REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be a good communicator - both in-person and through email and texts
- Organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience as a stage manager.
- College level Theatre experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to drive to Richmond
- Candidates must be fully vaccinated with the latest COVID 19 vaccine available.
