Production Manager

The production manager will help to create and set the tone for this award-winning immersive theatre production. The ideal candidate will create a space that is welcoming, organized, community-centric, and accountable. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for oversight of the full show production to ensure that all elements of the show are completed safely, according to the show timeline, and within budget -- inclusive of working with casting agency, hiring all crew, scheduling, and oversight of the set build & tour logistics. The production manager will work directly with the management team, technical crew, and creative designers to bring this theatre production to life.

- Create and maintain an up to date production schedule spanning all critical project workstreams: set design/build, lighting design, sound design, hiring crew, casting, and contracting

- Oversight of all workstreams connected to production – set design/build, lighting, sound, cast

- Hire Stage Manager

- Prepare detailed budgets and closely/accurately monitor expenses

- Make all necessary purchases for the production with assistant of Associate Producer

- Skillfully organize meetings between the appropriate departments at proper times to ensure that the timeline is followed

- Work closely with the creative team as decisions regarding set, costume, lighting, and touring are made to ensure that the timeline and budget are followed

- Keep all backstage areas organized

- Responsible for all show technicians, stage management, and other production staff

Requirements

The ideal candidate with have a formal degree in technical theatre and/or experience with the following:

- Production of multi-city touring productions

- Experience with immersive theatre productions

- Marketing of productions

- Complex production budgets

- Stage management

Salary: $65K - $80K
