Open Auditions for 'Twelve Angry Jurors'

PRODUCER: GLENN HERING The play explores the deliberations of a jury in a homicide trial, in which a dozen jurors decide the fate of a teenager accused of murdering his abusive father. In the beginning, they are nearly unanimous in concluding the youth is guilty, influenced by their own background and upbringing. One juror dissents, declaring him "not guilty", and sows a seed of reasonable doubt. Eventually, they convince the other jurors to look beyond their own personal biases and support a unanimous "not guilty" verdict. AUDITION LOCATION:

Morgan Park Academy, Main Building at 2153 W. 111th St., Chicago PRODUCTION DATES: Friday, February 14, 7:30 pm; Saturday, February 15th; 7:30 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2:00 pm. Rehearsals and performances at Morgan Park Academy Baer Theatre, 2153 W. 111th Street, Chicago. Rehearsals are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons until tech week. There may be added day/evening rehearsals if needed. Subject to change and based on cast availability. AT THE AUDITIONS: Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Audition sides will be posted on www.beverlytheatreguild.org prior to auditions. Bring headshot and resume, if available. Please be prepared to provide any prior conflicts/commitments you may have from December 12th through performance weekend (February 16th). Thank you!
