Institutional Giving Manager - The Wilma Theater

The Wilma Theater seeks a persuasive writer and enthusiastic project manager to serve as Institutional Giving Manager.

The Institutional Giving Manager will contribute meaningfully to the organizational culture of the Wilma and will advocate to advance our values on an organizational, local, and national scale. This person will take part in cross-departmental work, company-wide EDI work and anti-bias training as we further our commitment to being an inclusive, anti-racist organization.



Position Summary

The Institutional Giving Manager is responsible for the Wilma’s foundation, government, and corporate giving programs. They manage the full funding lifecycle for institutional donors, including prospect research, cultivation, grant applications (including budgets), reports, acknowledgements, donor stewardship, and creating materials for corporate supporters. Reporting to the Development Director, they are responsible for maintaining and managing the Institutional Giving Calendar, as well as tracking information in the Wilma’s database. With the Development Director and Leadership team, they help craft the Wilma’s fundraising strategy, following funding trends and looking for new opportunities both with theater funders as well as other foci, including accessibility and organizational transformation.



Position Qualifications

The ideal candidate has: a knowledge of and interest in the arts and culture sector; experience crafting clear, persuasive grants and other materials for funders; comfort with data and numbers; aptitude for collaboration; and strong project management skills. The Institutional Giving Manager should be comfortable with budget creation and data analysis, meeting facilitation, and strong attention to detail. They should efficiently manage current processes, while imagining and implementing new approaches to our work.



The ideal candidate is proficient in remote-work software and systems, with the ability to learn our CRM (Tessitura), Microsoft 365, and project management and video conference tools.



Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt role with compensation in the high $40,000s to low $50,000s, commensurate with experience.

Benefits include 85% payment of toward group health plan including vision, dental insurance, generous paid time off, 403(b) retirement plan, employee assistance program, and other benefits such as complimentary tickets to Wilma productions, parking discount, and paid holidays.



Hybrid Work Environment

Due to Covid-19, much of the Wilma administrative staff is conducted in a hybrid environment of remote and in-person work, dependent upon role function and responsibilities. In consultation with your supervisor, it may be determined that some administrative aspects of your role may be performed remotely.



Some night and weekend work will be required.



COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

The Wilma Theater requires all employees, whose work requires their physical presence on-site at spaces managed and operated by The Wilma Theater, to be fully vaccinated and up to date with the Pfizer or Moderna (bivalent) booster for COVID-19. Being “fully vaccinated” and “up to date” means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine and booster regimen.



In order to be qualified for employment at the Wilma Theater, final candidates must comply with the vaccination requirement or receive an approved exemption. Exceptions to this policy include:

1. Employees who do not report to a workplace where other individuals (such as coworkers or customers) are present

2. Employees who are working exclusively from home/remote environment

3. Employees who have a documented and approved medical or religious exemption.
